It'd be nice to have common connection options like sslmode documented so users don't have to go to Postgres's docs:
Alternatively the psycopg2 docs could point to the postgres docs.

Actually there was already a link, but it wasn't very explicit and the parameter list was moved (the link pointed to a paragraph with another link)
I've improved the connect() docs making the link to the external resources more evident.
